Enrollment
Registration is a full-season commitment, as the curriculum is designed as a continuous arc of training from September through June. Our academy year is organized into six sessions of six weeks, allowing for select rolling admission points throughout the season. While we encourage families to apply before the start of the school year whenever possible, new students may be considered for placement at designated points throughout the year as space allows.
Application & Audition Requirements
Students seeking placement in Preparatory, Primary, or Adagio Tier are required to audition for full-time enrollment.

A $25 non-refundable application/audition fee is required to process each application. Families who are unable to attend one of the scheduled audition dates may request a private audition, trial class or video audition.
Students seeking placement in Preliminary or Elementary do not need to audition. Families should complete the application form, after which the academy may recommend a trial class to confirm appropriate placement.
To secure enrollment, families will be asked to complete registration forms and submit the required enrollment payment. This includes a non-refundable registration fee. Upon receipt of registration, the first month of tuition will also become due to secure the dancer’s place in the program. Tuition amounts vary according to final tier placement.
Boys Dance Scholarship Fund
At Adage Ballet Academy, we believe boys belong in dance. Through the Boys Dance Scholarship Fund, limited scholarship support is available for male students as part of our commitment to making high-quality training more accessible and encouraging more young men to discover the discipline, strength, artistry, and joy of dance. Scholarship awards may vary based on available funding and program needs.
New Castle Resident Discount
As part of our commitment to investing in the New Castle community, Adage Ballet Academy offers an additional 20% tuition discount for students who can provide proof of residency in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. This discount reflects our desire to become not only a destination for high-quality arts training, but also a true community resource for local families. Proof of residency is required in order to receive this discount.
Family Observation
To keep families connected to their dancer’s progress, Adage hosts six official observation days throughout the year, aligned with the end of each six-week session. These observation days give families the opportunity to see how their dancer is developing within the class environment and to better understand the progression of the curriculum.
Performance
In addition to weekly classes, students participating in academy productions should expect performance rehearsals to take place primarily on Saturdays between 2:00–7:00 PM during the rehearsal period. Dancers are not called for the full time block each week; this is the general window during which rehearsals may be scheduled.
Rehearsals typically take place during the 10 weeks leading up to a performance. Performance dates for the 2026–2027 season are currently TBD as Adage Ballet Academy launches in its new location.
Students are expected to maintain an attendance rate of at least 80% in order to participate in performance opportunities. This expectation supports each dancer’s individual progress while also protecting the preparation, spacing, timing, and ensemble work required for the stage.
Tuition
Tuition covers the full season of training, as registration is a full-year commitment from September 9, 2026, through June 12, 2027. Our all-inclusive tuition includes regular classes, performance rehearsals, costumes, and academy performance participation. Families are not charged additional costume or performance fees for Adage productions. Contact us for tuition pricing.
Families may choose from several payment options:
Pay in Full
Families who pay annual tuition in full receive a 10% tuition discount.
The Pay in Full tuition discount does not apply to the New Castle Resident Discount.
Trimester Installments
Tuition may be divided into three trimester payments over the course of the school year.
Monthly Installments
Tuition may also be divided into 10 monthly installments from September through June.
