Mommy & Me Ballet
Ages 2-3 + Caregiver | One class per week
Mommy & Me is Adage Ballet Academy’s introductory parent-and-child program, designed for young children ages two and three who are ready to begin exploring movement, music, and the studio environment alongside a trusted adult.
Through a joyful and carefully structured 30-minute class, children begin developing coordination, rhythm, spatial awareness, listening skills, confidence, and an early relationship to movement. A parent, grandparent, or caregiver participates throughout the class, giving each child the security to explore while gradually becoming comfortable with the teacher, the studio, and the rhythm of a group class.
Mommy & Me Ballet welcomes moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, and other trusted caregivers. The participating adult simply serves as the child’s familiar partner as they explore movement, music, and the studio environment together.
About Mommy & Me Ballet
At ages two and three, the goal is not formal ballet technique. Instead, Mommy & Me introduces the foundations that will later support dance training through guided movement, music, imagination, repetition, and play.
Classes may include simple locomotor movement, balance, rhythm exercises, changes of direction, basic coordination, musical response, and imaginative movement activities. Children begin learning how to move through space, respond to cues, participate with others, and experience movement as something both expressive and joyful.
The caregiver is an active part of the class. Moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, and other trusted adults are all welcome to participate.Rather than observing from the side, adults move alongside their child, helping them participate, model exercises, and build confidence in a new environment. This shared experience allows young dancers to begin developing independence gradually and at an age-appropriate pace.
Mommy & Me Ballet also serves as a natural bridge into Adage Ballet Academy’s Preliminary Tier. As children become more comfortable with the structure of class and are ready to participate independently, they may progress into Preliminary 1.
Mommy & Me students and their caregiver attend one 30-minute class per week.
Wednesday — 5:00–5:30 PM
Thursday — 10:00–10:30 AM
Families may choose the class time that best fits their schedule. The Wednesday evening class provides an option for working families looking for a midweek activity together, while the Thursday morning class offers a daytime option for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and families with flexible schedules.
Classes begin in January 2027 and continue through June.
Register for Mommy & Me Ballet
Mommy & Me Ballet does not require an audition or placement process. Families may register directly for the class time of their choice.
Tuition for the January–June program is $216 and may be paid in full or through one of our available payment plans.
No previous dance experience is required.
