2027 Young Dancers
Two-Week Intensive
June 14 – 26, 2027
Lucymont E.P.A.C. | New Castle, Pennsylvania
Two Weeks of Focused Summer Training
A holistic summer intensive for young dancers ages 7–12.
The Young Dancers Intensive offers two focused weeks of classical training, conditioning, yoga, theory, repertoire, and age-appropriate whole-dancer development in the supportive environment of Lucymont.
Focused Training for Young Dancers
The Young Dancers Intensive is designed for students who are ready to go deeper in their summer training without the commitment of a five-week residential program.
Students will train four hours each day in a curriculum designed around their age, experience, and readiness. Dancers will be divided into two groups so that class content can be appropriately adapted to meet each group where they are and help them continue progressing.

TRAIN
Students will build strong technical foundations through daily classical ballet training supported by conditioning, yoga, theory, repertoire, and age-appropriate pointe or pre-pointe work. The curriculum is designed to strengthen coordination, alignment, musicality, and movement quality while helping each dancer progress with greater confidence and understanding.

DEVELOP
Adage Ballet Academy’s whole-dancer approach develops more than technique. Students will build strength, mobility, coordination, musicality, artistic understanding, confidence, and healthy training habits that support long-term growth.

EXPLORE
Young dancers will be encouraged to explore artistry, musical interpretation, repertoire, and creative movement in ways that deepen their understanding of ballet beyond the mechanics of class. The goal is to nurture curiosity and help each student begin developing a more individual and expressive relationship with movement.

2027 Program Information
June 14 – 26, 2027
The Young Dancers Intensive is designed for ballet students ages 7–12. Students will be divided into two groups based on age, training experience, and overall readiness so that the schedule and class content can be adapted appropriately.
Initial placement will be based on application materials and reviewed during the first day of the intensive.
Limited Residential Housing
Limited availability for ages 10–12
Selected dancers may stay onsite at Lucymont in the Chrysalis Residence during the two-week intensive. Housing includes furnished accommodations, utilities, Wi-Fi, household supplies, two meals per day, and grocery-store runs.
Because this program serves younger dancers, housing placement will be limited and subject to approval.

Who Should Apply?
We are looking for young dancers ages 7–12 who enjoy ballet, are excited to learn, and are ready to approach two weeks of focused training with curiosity, discipline, and an open mind.
Placement is not determined by age alone. Training experience, technical readiness, maturity, and the individual dancer’s needs will all be considered when assigning groups.
Applicants will be asked to submit their training history and ballet photographs so that we can assess overall readiness and determine initial placement.
Initial placement will be reviewed during the first day of the program, and any necessary adjustments will be made as quickly as possible.
Join us for two weeks of focused training, whole-dancer development, and summer growth at Lucymont.
