Primary Tier
The Primary Tier at Adage Ballet Academy is designed for dancers aged 11-18, focusing on refining their technique and broadening their ballet vocabulary. This tier is structured into three sub-divisions: Foundation, Essentials, and Advanced, each tailored to progressively challenge the students through deepening understanding of the core principles and physical capabilities required in ballet.

Foundation
In the Foundation subdivision, dancers consolidate their grasp of ballet's fundamental movements and positions, and they begin their training on pointe. This level focuses on perfecting form, building physical strength, and introducing dancers to the foundational pointe work necessary for more demanding techniques. It sets the stage for successful progression in ballet, establishing a robust base of knowledge and skill.

Essentials
The Essentials subdivision engages dancers with more intricate sequences and complex steps. It emphasizes the essential elements of ballet technique, encouraging students to develop precision and fluidity in their movements. Classes are designed to foster an environment where individual progress is supported and nurtured, allowing each dancer to explore their potential fully.

Advanced
In the Advanced subdivision, dancers tackle complex composite steps and explore extensive combinations that challenge both their technical and artistic abilities. This level is geared towards mastering advanced ballet techniques and cultivating stage presence, preparing dancers for higher levels of performance and competition.
Throughout the Primary Tier, dancers are encouraged to develop not only as artists but also as individuals possessing life-long skills such as focus, discipline, and confidence. Classes are inclusive and crafted to be relevant for dancers of any gender, ensuring a comprehensive development that caters to the needs of all students. Promotion through the subdivisions is based solely on merit and ability, guided by the experienced artistic leadership and faculty at Adage Ballet Academy.
